Historic Streetcars

January 24, 2013

DSC00873If you’re interested in historic streetcars, a go-to resource is Seashore Trolley Museum in Kennebunkport, Maine.  It’s the world’s oldest and largest electric railway museum, featuring the National Collection of streetcars from around the U.S., as well as those from many other countries.  Rapid transit cars, Interurbans, buses, trackless trolleys and a variety of rail-related work vehicles are also part of the collection for this museum that has trade-marked “Museum of Mass Transit” as a tag-line.  The website’s great, and a visit in person is even better!  http://www.trolleymuseum.org
